SUMMARY:Concert & Dance - Zydeco COnnection
DESCRIPTION:Music: by donation ($5 suggested donation to support future events.)\n\n7-9:30 p.m.: Has cabin fever set in? If so\, the Zydeco Connection is guaranteed to help folks dance it away with their zesty\, toe-tapping mix of boogie-woogie\, swing\, waltzes\, blues\, and two-steps. Lil'Cyn plays accordion\; Dewitt Thompson plays drums\; Eileen Almeida on rubboard and sings lead vocals\; David LeBlanc plays bass\; and Larry LeBlanc on guitar. The term "Zydeco" is Creole French slang for "the string beans have no salt\," meaning that times are tough. This style of music stems from rural South Louisiana Cajun music\, which is acoustic. Zydeco musicians add rhythm and blues\, drums\, and electric instruments.\n\nBut first\, PIZZA!\n\n6-7 p.m.: Pizza from the Pizza Factory (gluten-free available) will be served. All proceeds support the Mission projects of the Trinitarian Congregational Church of Warwick.
