DESCRIPTION:GCC Community Chorus welcomes new members this fall - all voice\n\nparts. Rehearsals will be held Fridays\n\n\n\nThe group is open to community members as well as\n\nGreenfield Community College students\, faculty\, staff\, and alumni.\n\nSeveral performances are held both on and off campus each\n\nsemester during noon and weekend/evening time blocks announced\n\nearly in the semester.\n\nRehearsals are both serious and fun! Music includes a variety of\n\nchoral works drawn from classical and other styles. Last year the\n\ngroup performed programs entitled "American Choral Music" and\n\n"Choral Classics by Great Composers." Vocal development\, sight\n\nreading\, languages\, and background material are all part of the\n\nexperience. An ability to carry a tune and a commitment to the\n\nrehearsal and performance schedules are the only requirements.\n\nMargery Heins directs the GCC Community Chorus. She has directed\n\nchoruses at GCC since 2001\, and is known in the area for work with\n\nother community choral groups\, church choirs\, and voice teaching.\n\nJohn Yannis is the group's accompanist.\n\nRegistration for GCC Community Chorus can be completed through\n\nthe GCC Community Engagement website engage.gcc.mass.edu
