12th Annual Pocumtuck Homelands Festival

A celebration of Native American art, music, and cultures. 

Forty outstanding Indigenous artisans will sell traditional craft including jewelry, pipes, baskets and instruments. The all-day schedule includes outstanding presentations by Mohawk Elder Tom Porter, Evan Pritchard and David Brule. The riverfront will be filled with traditional music by Nipmuck flute maker Hawk Henries, Akwesasne singer Theresa Bear Fox, Abenaki singer-songwriter Mignon Geli, Nulhegan Abenaki singer-songwriter Bryan Blanchette and the Penobscot Rez Dog Singers. Festival goers can participate in social dance lead by Wampanoag artist Annawon Weeden. On Sunday (only) there will be a special performance by Hawaiian dance ensemble Pua Ali
ʻi ʻIlima o Nuioka.

This FREE, family-friendly and accessible event is presented by the Nolumbeka Project with support from RiverCulture and many more. The Pocumtuck Homelands Festival is rain or shine. Performances and presentations are sheltered.
