Birding Barton Cove and the Power Canal

Barton Cove and the Power Canal in Turners Falls are two great spots to view migrating birds, join experienced birder, Bill Lafley, and Northfield Mountain staff to search for ducks, geese and other birds along the Connecticut River. Bring binoculars, wear warm boots and dress warmly for a morning outdoors. If available, please bring a spotting scope.  The program begins at the Great Falls Discovery Center,before carpooling to nearby locations. All levels of experience are welcome for this program which is co-sponsored with the Northfield Bird Club.
