Dopapod / Elephant Wrecking Ball

Hawks & Reed Performing Arts Center is proud to present rock and dance bands Dopapod and Elephant Wrecking Ball. Dopapod has come a long way from their college basement, DIY party roots. While maintaining to be as grassroots as their humble beginnings, the group has earned praise from critics like Huffington Post, Jambase, and Relix, all the while tending to their ever expanding community of devoted listeners. Touring nationally, they’ve played about 150 shows in each of the past four years, including many festival appearances like Wakarusa, Summer Camp, Electric Forest, Camp Bisco, Peach Fest, and Gathering of the Vibes. Elephant Wrecking Ball is an amalgamation of heavy grooves, ambient dub, and otherworldly sounds. A tight and disciplined drum and bass combo provide a ground shaking foundation on which an effect-laden trombone applies layers of ethereal mayhem.
