Led by clarinetist Jason Ditzian, Myrtle St. Klezmer is an ecstatic, experimental exploration into the past, present & future of Klezmer, an instrumental musical tradition of the Ashkenazi Jews of Central and Eastern Europe. As the leader of the iconic San Francisco-based klezmer ensemble, Kugelplex for over 20 years, Ditzian collaborated with Joan Baez, the Oakland Symphony, the Oakland Interfaith Gospel Choir, Frank London, Linda Tillery, and many others.
