Oakland Stroke, The Shadow Twisters

Oakland Stoke is a tribute band formed in 2014 by local veteran saxophonists/vocalists Ted Wirt and Donna Lee DePrille. They perform Bay Area soul with a capital-S and ’70s funk. Begun as a Tower of Power tribute, the band also incorporates the music of another San Francisco band, Santana. The Shadow Twisters play classic rock, pop and soul music from the ’60s and ’70s: Beatles, Carl Perkins, Neil Young, Jose Feliciano, Moody Blues, Van Morrison, Buck Owens, the Who, Derek & the Dominos, Peter Green and many more!
