Opening reception for Northampton painter Anna Bayles Arthur’s art show

Hawks & Reed Performing Arts Center is proud to host Northampton-based painter Anna Bayles Arthur in an art show running through August 22. Anna will have an opening reception for her work on Saturday, July 29, 2017, 5–7 p.m. The reception will be held at Hawks & Reed Performing Arts Center, 289 Main St., Greenfield, MA. Admission is free. Anna Bayles Arthur has been constructing images, works on paper: drawings, paintings, prints, for almost the entirety of her life. She completed studies in academic art programs (MFA, University of Mass., Amherst; BFA, Kutztown University, PA), but she considers her work to exist somewhere on the spectrum between the classical/academic and the mystical/outsider. For the last decade, she has lived and worked in Northampton, MA. Her work has been in galleries throughout New England.
